The first Tactile Reading conference. For practitioners and academics.
The conference Tactile Reading 2017 will bring together more than 200 people from countries all over the world, working with children and youth with visual impairments and blindness, academics in various research areas and developers and innovators in the field of tactile reading.
We offer you more than 50 speakers, practitioners and academics, from 20 countries. They will present successful working methods and useful results from new research in the field of tactile reading. This will be a great learning experience and opportunity to exchange knowledge about braille and graphics.
The conference is arranged by Swedish Agency for Accessible Media (MTM) and National Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools (SPSM). This is the first time this conference is arranged. We have the ambition to create a recurrent international conference on issues related to tactile reading, including literacy, with a conference organization touring between European interested parties.
